How long is the waitlist to get in to be seen?

You will be scheduled 1-2 weeks from the time of your call.

How long does it take to receive feedback on testing?

We offer a debriefing within two weeks of the last testing date.

Will I receive the testing report at the debriefing?

You will receive the report at the time of the in person feedback.

Will you contact other providers involved in my case?

With your consent, we will communicate and coordinate with all providers, including pediatricians, teachers, OT’s, Speech language therapists, tutors, and other people who have a perspective on your child.

Will the testing report be reader friendly?

Our reports are professional and user friendly so that the family walks away with a roadmap for intervention. Our recommendations are extensive, specific, and written to address the needs in the school/work setting, at home, and with other professionals who work with your child.

Do you offer follow up therapy following testing?

We offer therapy with full coordination and communication between the assessor and treating therapist.

Is the testing always done in one day?

Depending on the needs of your child and family, we complete testing in one day or over a period of different sessions to avoid fatigue. We accommodate your schedules.

Do you have access to a wide array of current testing measures?

We have a full range of testing measures to understand cognitive and emotional issues at different ages and to address unique concerns.

Is the environment child-friendly?

We provide an extremely family friendly environment that allows children to feel comfortable.

How many cases does the clinician work with at one time?

Our clinicians are dedicated to personalized service and are never overbooked or juggling too many cases at one time.

Do you use a standard battery for all cases?

We custom design a battery of tests, behavioral observations, and interviewing to fully understand the nuances and complexities of each child or adult.

How thorough is the testing?

For a comprehensive assessment, some agencies or schools only have resources for 3-4 hours of testing, while our process is upwards of 20 hours including face to face time, interpretation, writing, and feedback

• Clinicians •

Who administers the testing? Do you use technicians?

All clinicians have doctoral degrees in psychology. The clinician administers, interprets, writes, and provides feedback. We do not use technicians.

Who will answer questions about the testing/therapy process? A clinician or administrative person?

In order to provide direct and quality care, you will only be served by our clinical staff, and not administrative assistants.

Is it possible to have testing and therapy done together?

You can meet with two MindWorks clinicians simultaneously for both a therapy and assessment intake.  The clinicians will work together to coordinate services.

If therapy is indicated, will your clinicians communicate the test results and recommendations to the treating psychologist?

MindWorks clinicians work together to ensure a smooth transition from testing to therapy with ongoing communication.
