Dr. Christina Ralph received her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She has worked in a variety of settings and sought training opportunities to gain competency treating a wide range of psychological issues. While pursuing her degree, she worked as a licensed outpatient therapist at Acute Child Psychiatric Services, a specialized crisis unit focused on providing intensive individual and family therapy to children and adolescents presenting with suicidal, homicidal and severe aggressive behaviors. She also conducted psychological and neuropsychological evaluations with children, adolescents and adults at the Buchholz Psychological Services Center and Memory Assessment Center.
Dr. Ralph completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Lexington VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, with rotations in the specialized Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Unit and the Inpatient Unit. She received additional training in psychological assessment and therapy with veterans dealing with chronic pain, substance abuse and other mental health issues. She completed her postdoctoral training at a rural community mental health center in Kentucky, conducting psychological assessments and providing individual and family therapy to individuals presenting with issues ranging from mild adjustment to severe mental illness.
Dr. Ralph's clinical interests and expertise in therapy are in the areas of anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and depression. Her interests in psychological testing include comprehensive assessment of learning disabilities, ADHD and deficits related to brain injury and dementia.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, playing the piano and trekking through the woods.
